Bora Warrior

The Bora are an indigenous Amazonian tribe who have fiercely defended their lands against native adversaries and foreign colonizers for many generations. The rubber boom era and the Putumayo genocide brought intense suffering to the Bora, exposing them to enslavement and brutality, resulting in a significant decline in their numbers. They speak the Bora and Mirana languages, with only about 2,000 individuals left using these languages. Traditionally, the Bora utilized bows and arrows for hunting and defense. Today, they generally lead a sedentary lifestyle in permanent forest communities.
