The Quechua people are descendants of the Incas and fiercely proud of their heritage. They continue to wear their ancestors’ traditional attireāvibrant and textured garments, crafted and dyed using age-old methods. I encountered these women in Cusco, donning their traditional dress, evidently to attract tourists who would pay to take their photographs.
