In the desert region of southern Morocco, near a township called Merzouga, I embarked on a camel ride. During this journey atop the dromedary, we encountered a man deep in meditation – he was clearly praying but graciously allowed me to take his photograph. In the picture, he is pointing towards Qibla, the Islamic center of the world, which is the direction of the Kaaba in Mecca.
