Angel of the North

Bamburgh Castle

I had cause to head to the North East of the country, Northumbria. On the way we stopped off at the Angel of the North, which gave me an opportunity to take some images of this icon i had never seen. Later we arrived at Bamburgh castle with its expansive beach. These images are views of the sea from the dunes where Bamburgh castle sits. We got up close to the imposing walls of Bamburgh Castle, (Northumbria) but the castle itself was close to the public, at the time. We then also went over to Holy Island with its views of Bamburgh Castle in the mist (taken from Holy Island).
