It is disputed whether the Citadel of Mont Saint Michel, is in Normandy or Britany. When visiting my sister in the July of 2013, we decided to take a road trip there. We set out early in the morning around 7am and the drive took nearly 4 hours, from Swiss Normandy where my sister lives.  So, we arrived around lunchtime and there were fairly large queues already, and plenty of cars in the carpark. We gained entry to the historic site and wandered its streets making our way to the top of the citadel, where the flying buttresses are. On the way out, back to the car we stopped and I took some landscape shots of the mount from a distance.
